Groups

The most important parts of being a church member are attending worship and Bible studies, but here are some other ways that you can grow in the faith and strengthen your fellowship with others at Holy Cross.

Women's Group

This women's group is an opportunity for the women of Holy Cross to have fellowship and support each other in the joys and hardships of life. In the fashion of a small group, members can volunteer to host in their homes (or at a coffee shop or similar place if that's easier!) to discuss a book, do crafts, converse, and pray for one another. They meet on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM. For more information, contact the church office.

American Heritage Girls Troop

American Heritage Girls is a Christian scouting organization for girls. They teach girls to love God, cherish their family, honor their country, and serve in their community. They meet 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month from 2-4 PM. For more information, contact Chrissy Heiss at [email protected].

OWLS

Older Wiser Lutheran Seniors (OWLS) is a group for the older members of Holy Cross. They meet 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month for fellowship and service. For more information, check out our monthly Crosslink, weekly bulletin, or contact our church office.

Human Care

The Human Care group provides support for the physical, emotional, and psychological welfare of the members of Holy Cross. They provide this support by means of sending baptismal cards to the young members of our church, sending birthday cards to the elderly members, organizing blood drives, etc. For more information, check out our monthly Crosslink or contact our church office.

Prayer Shawl

The Prayer Shawl group is an organization of the LWML (Lutheran Women's Missionary League). They meet every 2nd and 4th Thursday each month at 10:00 AM for needlework and devotions. They provide shawls, lap robes, blankets, hats, scarfs, and mittens to give to those in need. They also collect mites (small monetary donations) to support the mission projects of the LWML.
